Director of Individual Giving

Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC), a Tony Award-winning nonprofit theatre dedicated to the production of contemporary plays and musicals, seeks a full time Director of Individual Giving. Founded in 1970, MTC has been the creative and artistic home for America’s most gifted theatrical artists, producing works of the highest quality by contemporary American and international playwrights. MTC produces six plays annually in Broadway's restored Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on West 47th Street and off-Broadway at the historic NY City Center complex on West 55th Street.

The Director of Individual Giving will conceive, plan and oversee all aspects of Individual Giving and will work very closely with the Director of Development, the Executive Producer and the Board of Directors in pursuit of these goals.
The director will develop and implement strategies to increase Individual Giving, direct and oversee Patron Program systems and renewal process and manage the personal cultivation and solicitation of major donors.

The director will also manage and serve as liaison for the Patron’s Leadership Council, oversee the production of weekly, monthly and year-end Individual Giving reports, oversee research on Patrons and Patron prospects and strategizes with Development Special Events staff on Patron Event planning and execution.
The director will report on the status of Individual Giving at weekly and monthly meetings and supervise the five member Individual Giving staff.
